Fondue opens in soft cream and warms to pale yellow as the flower develops. Its simple, classic shape makes a lovely pause among the ruffles and bright colors of other tulips, especially in a mid-spring planting.

Planting and care
Plant in fall in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Set bulbs pointed end up, about two to three times their height deep, with at least twice their width between bulbs. Store bulbs in a cool, dry place until planting. Outdoor bloom timing varies with climate and weather.
For cutting, harvest when the bud shows color but has not fully opened.
