Columbus is a bright raspberry-pink double, with creamy edges outlining its many petals. The early flowers open into generous cups that look lovely gathered together, with no other flowers needed.

  • Type: Double early
  • Bloom season: Early spring

Planting and care

Plant in fall in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Set bulbs pointed end up, about two to three times their height deep, with at least twice their width between bulbs. Store bulbs in a cool, dry place until planting. Outdoor bloom timing varies with climate and weather.

For cutting, harvest when the bud shows color but has not fully opened.
