A Pastel Spring Wedding at Valley View Farm

This past weekend, we had the joy of creating full-service floral designs for a romantic, pastel-hued wedding at Valley View Farm in Haydenville, MA. Every single bloom was grown right here at Rooted Flowers in Agawam, MA—making this a true farm-to-table wedding floral experience.

The floral palette featured lavender, white, blue and soft blush tones, creating an ethereal, early-summer atmosphere. Using only what was in season on our farm, we designed with anemone, ranunculus, delphinium, larkspur, love-in-a-mist, stock, snapdragon, novelty tulips, and bells of Ireland.

Each stem was harvested at peak perfection arranged with care. Before the installation, we captured a few behind-the-scenes photos on the farm and in the studio—centerpieces boxed and ready, bouquets held just before delivery, and statement pieces packed with care.

At the venue, we framed the entrance to the ceremony with tall, garden-inspired installs that greeted guests with softness and scale. Inside the reception space, each long table held three classic centerpieces designed in a flowing, cohesive style that complemented the natural wood and open-air feel of the barn.

The bride carried a bouquet full of elegant spring blooms in airy whites and lavenders. A petite attendant bouquet and boutonniere tied in the palette with simplicity and intention. A larger floral installation was created on-site, adding a dramatic and immersive floral moment as guests entered the space.

Hellebores for Cut Flowers
Hellebores for Cut Flowers

Before there were flowers and our farm in Agawam, I was growing asparagus in Hadley. This time of year, locals would start stopping by my little roadside stand, asking if it was time yet for the first spears. For many, the arrival of Hadley’s famous asparagus meant spring had truly begun—so tender you could eat it right out of the field.
