This past Motherʼs Day, we opened the gates to Rooted Flowers for our very first Bloom & Brunch, and what unfolded felt like something out of a dream. After weeks of gray skies and unpredictable spring weather, the sun showed up right on cue—and so did all of you.
Guests were greeted with a welcome drink, a fresh appetizer, and the soft sounds of a live string duet drifting through the air. It set the tone for the morning: calm, connected, and filled with beauty.
We began with a walking tour through our growing spaces—areas of the farm that are usually tucked out of sight. There’s something magical about sharing where it all begins: seed trays, bloom tunnels, rows coming to life. You could feel the quiet joy of people soaking it all in, from the scent of fragrant stock coming into bloom to the sound of bees working nearby.
After the tour, we made our way to the brunch table—set with flowers just harvested the day before and a meal thoughtfully prepared by Wheelhouse, using ingredients sourced from over 20 local farms. As if the moment needed anything more, Katherine Winston serenaded us with her voice while guests gathered, connected, and enjoyed the meal. It was heartfelt and grounding all at once.
We were honored to have Western Mass News stop by and capture the day, and even more honored to celebrate it with each of you. Bloom & Brunch wasn’t just a Mother’s Day event—it was a reflection of everything we’re growing here: beauty, connection, intention.

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of designing wedding florals for a stunning celebration at Valley View Farm in Haydenville, MA. From seed to centerpiece, every flower was grown right here on our farm in Agawam, MA—a full farm-to-table floral experience for a couple who wanted something meaningful, local, and naturally beautiful.

At Rooted Flowers, we’re not following a traditional model. We’re building something entirely different—a way of working and living that reflects the rhythm of the seasons, honors the land, and keeps family, beauty, and sustainability at its core.

Before there were flowers and our farm in Agawam, I was growing asparagus in Hadley. This time of year, locals would start stopping by my little roadside stand, asking if it was time yet for the first spears. For many, the arrival of Hadley’s famous asparagus meant spring had truly begun—so tender you could eat it right out of the field.
We a family-run speciality cut flower farm growing in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
Our self-serve farmstand is located at 501 Shoemaker Ln, Agawam, MA 01001. We are open everyday with a fresh restock at 10 am.
