TO-YOUR-DOORSTEP PEONY 101
Your box of grower’s choice peonies has arrived but before you start unwrapping them, there are a few things you need to know. We're breaking down a few general FAQs on how our peonies are shipped and what you can expect from your blooms!

Rooted Flowers Peonies

Waterless delivery is intentional. We want you to be able to enjoy the full bloom life of your peonies and if we shipped them with a water source they would open up too soon. This does not damage the bloom in any way, but it does mean your peonies will need their ends cut with clean snips and a tall drink of water

We send out our peonies in bud form or as we call them "lollipops" so that you’ll get to witness the blooming magic!

Wilty as charged! Bottom foliage tends to wilt and that is totally normal! While leaving the leaves on for transit is important for flower health, it’s best to remove most of the foliage once you receive your peonies. Leave the bottom petals and leaves at the top of the flower to help feed and support the heavy heads of the peonies and make sure bottom foliage that touches the water is removed.

Note! The outside petals are called "guard" petals. They help protect the pretty petals inside but are not so pretty themselves. They are often discolored or brown. They can be removed easily.

Peony Care Rooted Flowers
It can take up to 8 to 12 hours to properly rehydrate.

It's unbelievable that they leave our farm and are in your hands within 24 hours. Only the most recent harvest is sent to you so it's always a fun flowery surprise!

Tulips and narcissus (daffodils) are our favorite spring bloomers. From the double flowering tulips that are often mistaken as a peony to the incredible multi-coloring, ruffled narcissus, they are pure delight. These bulbs are a mainstay here on the farm and we cannot imagine a spring without them.
